A League of Their Own is easily one of the best TV shows to come out in 2022. Based on the legendary 1992 movie, it features an all-star cast: Abbi Jacobson (who also co-created the series), D’Arcy Carden, Chanté Adams, and Roberta Colindrez, among others.
Not only does the series give subtle shoutouts to the original movie, but moreover, they showcase queer women whose identities were just a big subtext in the movie 30 years ago.
Through characters like Carson, Greta, Max, Clance, and Jo, they deliver some of the best queer romantic moments, friendships, humor, and wit in TV history. It’s a relief to watch onscreen, and everyone totally knocks it out of the park (pun intended).
Everyone’s been falling in love with this genius TV show, and I honestly can’t blame them because…well, I’m one of them. And because the internet is the internet, fans have been blessing us with the most brilliant, heartfelt, and hilarious reactions/jokes.
