20 Great Films I Had No Idea Were On Peacock

The Story of Frank Lucas and Richie Roberts played by star actors Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe is a recent addition to Peacock. The tale is based in the ’70s about how Lucas imported high-grade heroin to the streets.

This first film was put on by director Judd Apatow. Steve Carell plays Andy Stitzer, a 40-year-old virgin who works in an electronics store. The film is about when Stitzer’s co-workers find out he’s a virgin at a poker game. Now, they are determined to help him find a woman and get laid. 

This movie is one of the precursors of the comedic films about white college students that we have been accustomed to seeing for the past three decades.

The Movie is about how a college dean is determined to expel the entire Delta Tau Chi Fraternity and the adventures it takes him to do just that.

It’s one of the best comedy movies on Peacock and a must-watch.

My girl and I watched this movie almost a year ago, and I have been hooked ever since. I’m not a big rom-com guy, but when it’s done right, I love it, and The Proposal does it right.

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are a great duo, and the comedy part of “rom-com” is laugh-out-loud worthy.

It’s crazy to think that it’s been over 20 years since the first Shrek hit theaters, but Shrek was the start of an amazing dynasty. If you never put your kids on to Shrek, this weekend can be the perfect time for some family fun adventure in your household.

Judd Apatow struck gold again with the film Knocked Up. Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen play characters that have a one-night stand that leads to an unwanted pregnancy. A very funny movie that is low budget, but the comedy is top tier.

This film is about a student and teacher who experience unplanned pregnancies at the same time and is a treat with great execution of the economical and racial differences between both ladies.

This is a film that I would love to see be remade for the current age to witness. Gosling’s character has one of the best conflicts I can remember of a character struggling with an internal battle with his identity. One of Gosling’s best performances.

This might be the best movie Spike Lee ever made, and we can enjoy it on Peacock. The movie transpires on the hottest day in summer over a 24-hour period, highlighting the animosity between the African American community and an Italian American business. “Wake up!” as Mister Señor Love Daddy would say, and watch this.

Can you believe that this is Sandler’s first starring role? This movie is the perfect silly movie. Billy Madison is about how Billy must repeat all 12 grades of school, in just 24 weeks to receive his father’s respect. As a 25-year-old writing about this movie, I see more of the dynamic of redemption in the film, which makes it stand out as an elite film.

“Dudeism” was born with this movie. The Coen brothers made a classic silly film about a slacker mistaken for a millionaire of the same name. Now some bad people are after “slacker” Lebowski owes them money whens it’s actually the “millionaire” Lebowski.

A wonderful, sentimental movie about how a man created a baseball diamond in the middle of Iowa to bring back “Shoeless” Joe Jackson. A great PG tale that features great actors.

The Mummy is a great blockbuster film, and the whole series, even the animated version, is now on Peacock. The movie is about a mummy that awakes and wreck havoc on a French Legion searching for his long lost love. The ending of the film is a real shocker.

This film follows “Gru”, a villain who has stolen the Times Square JumboTron and the Statue of Liberty and wants to be the biggest villain. He hits the dilemma of wanting to do just that or to be a father figure to three orphan girls. A great series of movies indeed.

Uncut Gems is a crime thriller about a jewelry dealer who has a gambling problem. The movie consists of a ton of great actors: Idina Menzel, Julia Fox, NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett, and acclaimed actor LaKeith Stanfield. This movie, especially the ending, is so talked about, that you should defiantly watch it once

An undeniable classic film and I really shouldn’t have to sell you on it. It’s in the upper, upper, UPPER echelon of films. I know that this movie put a fear in me of swimming in the ocean that scary movies only wish to obtain on way scarier subjects.

Jason Segel killed this role. Straight up, there are not a lot of actors who could have pulled off what he did with this movie. This movie has tons of notable scenes, and you should tap in.

Bridesmaids is such a hot mess that I can’t help but love it. Kristen Wiig’s performance is just brilliant. Her comedic timing is perfect, and all should watch.

The perfect way to describe this movie to the fellas is to think of this as the women version of “The Hangover.”

Happy Gilmore is one of the funniest films made in the ‘90s comedies era. Adam Sandler was at his best here, and his Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, and The Waterboy runs were amazing. The Bob Barker and Sandler fight is worthy enough alone to watch this movie.

There are a ton of “in-law” movies, but this is the top of the top. Ben Stiller plays Greg Focker. A man who finally meets his fiancée’s dad, Jack, played by Robert De Niro. Greg and Jack butting heads in a battle for approval makes this movie an “all-timer” and is a great movie to watch with a spouse.
